Pacers Rout Ferrum 9-0 In Women's Tennis

RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace had its best outing of the season in women's tennis on Saturday.

Every starter won as the Pacers trounced Ferrum 9-0 in a non-conference match at Lions Park. The Pacers swept six singles and three doubles matches for their second win of the season.

Kala Price led the Pacers with a 6-3, 6-1 win in No. 1 singles. Camryn Straughn was victorious 6-1, 6-1 in No. 2 singles and Mya Sampson won 6-2, 6-4 in No. 3 singles.

Haley George was a 6-3, 6-1 winner in No. 4 singles and Jayla Durham breezed to a 6-1, 6-1 win in No. 5 singles. Jasseli Gutierrez captured a 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 6 singles.

The No. 1 doubles team of Price and Straughn won 8-1 and the No. 2 team of George and Sampson captured an 8-4 victory. The No. 3 team of Durham and Gutierrez won easily 8-0.

The Pacers return to Lions Park for a USA South match against Methodist on Wednesday, April 10, at 1 p.m.
