Pacers Fall To Nationally-Ranked Pfeiffer On The Road

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – William Peace fell in both games of a USA South softball doubleheader to nationally-ranked Pfeiffer at Jack Ingram Field on Wednesday. The scores were 8-0 in the first game and 8-2 in the second game.

The Pacers led 2-1 in the third inning of the second game. Lydia Hunt scored on Reagan Stewart's RBI and an error allowed Cierra Lear to score on the same play. The lead lasted until the fourth inning as the Falcons scored four runs. The Falcons, ranked 17th nationally, added three runs in the sixth inning for the final score.

Angelina Jones doubled in the first game for the Pacers' only hit.

The Pacers are back home for a USA South doubleheader against Brevard at the WPU Softball Complex on Saturday, April 13. The first game starts at 1 p.m. followed by the second game at approximately 3 p.m.
