Pacers Fall To Methodist In Men's Tennis Opener

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The William Peace men's tennis team opened the 2024 season with a 6-3 loss to Methodist at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center on Sunday.

All three Pacer wins were singles. Sam Jones picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win over Drew Guarnieri in No. 1 singles and Patrick Buckler was victorious over Brady Mendler 6-2, 6-3 in No. 4 singles. Ivan Ponce defeated William Johnston 6-3, 6-2 in No. 5 singles for the Pacers.

The Pacers play both Randolph and Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Va., on Saturday, Feb. 24. The Randolph match starts at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Lynchburg match at 3 p.m.
