Pacers Fall To Randolph and Lynchburg In Men's Tennis

LYNCHBURG, Va. – William Peace lost to Randolph and Lynchburg in men's tennis by identical 9-0 scores on Saturday.

Sam Jones nearly won for the Pacers in No. 1 singles. His match against Jacob Martin of Randolph went to a tiebreaker - 6-4, 4-6, 0-1 (3-10).

Jones' second match was also close. He played Levi Vigdorchik of Lynchburg to a tiebreaker – 4-6, 7-5, 0-1 (2-10) – in No. 1 singles.

The No. 2 doubles match between William Peace's Angel Araiza and Patrick Buckler and Lynchburg's Dan Hardy and Shadi Kallel was also tight. Araiza and Buckler battled hard before falling 8-6.

The Pacers are back on the road Sunday, March 3, against Guilford in Greensboro, N.C. The match begins at 2 p.m.
