Volleyball Falls To Methodist On The Road

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – William Peace played two close games before falling to Methodist 3-0 (24-26, 11-25, 23-25) in USA South volleyball action at the Riddle Center on Wednesday.

Georgia Grace Anderson and Chassie Jacops both posted nine kills and Jordan Juanes added seven kills, seven digs and two blocks for the Pacers, 7-9 in the USA South and 15-15 overall. Maegan Brylski finished with 31 assists, Jacqueline Janecek totaled 20 digs and Savannah Hairr registered 12 digs.

The Pacers led 20-13 in the first set but Methodist (14-3 USA South, 23-4 overall) rallied for a 26-24 victory. In the second set, the Pacers couldn't recover from a 16-5 deficit in a 25-11 loss. William Peace held leads of 10-4 and 19-15 in the third set but the margin slipped away in a 25-23 loss to end the match.

The Pacers conclude the regular season with two home matches against Brevard at the Hermann Athletic Center. The first match is Friday, Nov. 8, at 5 p.m. and the second match is Saturday, Nov. 9, at noon. The second match is designated as Senior Day.
