Men's Basketball Falls To Randolph

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Tyler Whitehurst came off the bench to score 14 points for William Peace in an 85-46 men's basketball loss to Randolph at Giles Gymnasium on Saturday.

The Pacers remain winless at 0-4 after the non-conference loss. Randolph improved to 3-0 overall.

"Disappointing afternoon," WPU Head Coach Claude Shields said. "We have struggled offensively this season and today was the first time that we let it impact our effort. At the end of the day - we have to work harder to accomplish our goal of reaching our potential!"

Whitehurst was the only double figure scorer for the Pacers, who fell behind 16-0 in the first half and trailed 42-15 at halftime. Michael Dulin added seven points and Shawn Jones pulled down six rebounds. The Pacers shot 25.4 percent compared to 41.6 percent for the Wildcats.

William Peace plays again Tuesday, Nov. 26, against Guilford in Greensboro, N.C. Game time is 6 p.m.
