Sharpshooter Michael Dulin Is Back For His Senior Season
RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace opens the 2024-25 men's basketball season in Roanoke, Va., this weekend.

The Pacers will be one of four teams competing in the Frankie Allen Tip-Off Tournament at the Cregger Center. Roanoke will host the tournament, which starts Friday, Nov. 15, and concludes Saturday, Nov. 16.

Saint Vincent (Pa.) is the Pacers' opponent in Friday's 8 p.m. nightcap. Roanoke, the host, plays Springfield in the first game at 6 p.m. The winners will face each other in the championship game at 3 p.m. The consolation game precedes the title game at 1 p.m.

Head Coach Claude Shields enters his 13th year at the helm. He leads a Pacers' squad featuring nine returnees and 10 newcomers. The top returnees are guards Shawn Jones, Michael Dulin and Ryan Lominack.

Dulin is the top returning scorer and Jones is the leading returning rebounder. Lominack was named USA South Rookie of the Year last season. Both Dulin, a 2022-23 all-conference performer, and Lominack can score from deep range. Jones is a stellar defender and rebounder who can score.

William Peace played Division I Davidson in an exhibition game for the Pacers, who lost 88-47 on Nov. 4. Saint Vincent is 1-0 after beating Carlow 84-68 on Nov. 8. Roanoke is 1-1 after losing to Eastern 73-71 on Nov. 9 and beating SUNY Geneseo 83-68 on Nov. 10 in the Shenandoah Classic.

Springfield is winless in two games. The Pride lost to Western New England 76-75 on Nov. 8 and to Yeshiva 78-65 on Nov. 12.
