Volleyball Falls To Southern Virginia On The Road

BUENA VISTA, Va. – William Peace fell to Southern Virginia 3-0 (23-25, 17-25, 17-25) in a USA South volleyball match at Knight Arena on Friday.

Chassie Jacops had six kills and two blocks while Jordan Juanes collected five kills, 11 digs and one ace for the Pacers, 6-7 in the USA South and 13-13 overall. Maegan Brylski finished with 13 assists, three kills and six digs.

Jordyn Chinigo totaled four blocks and one ace and Vivian Camplin tallied two aces and eight digs. Jacqueline Janecek had 11 digs and Georga Grace Anderson finished with two blocks.

The Pacers remain in sixth place in the USA South despite Friday's loss. The top eight teams in the conference qualify for the USA South Tournament, which starts Nov. 12. Southern Virginia (11-2 USA South, 15-10 overall) is tied for first place.

William Peace plays five of its six remaining regular season matches at home inside the Hermann Athletic Center. A match against N.C. Wesleyan on Tuesday, Oct. 29, is the first of three straight at home. First serve is at 7 p.m.
