Men's Basketball Headed To USA South Conference Championship With Win In Semifinal Over SVU

RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University men's basketball defeated Southern Virginia University with a rally in the second half by a score of 75-68. The Pacers will now head to NCWU on Saturday, February 25th for their first-ever USA South Conference Tournament Championship appearance.

KEY POINTS
  • The early game would be back-and-forth, with jumpers from Timothy Pettiford and Beau Bryant putting the Pacers up 11-8. Layups from Jalen Owens and Tyler Parton would increase the lead to 17-13 before a rally from the Knights would tie it up 23-23. A 3-pointer and jumper from Michael Dulin would put the Pacers back up 28-23, but the Knights would get a few good stops to take a 38-33 lead at the half.

The Pacers would finish strong in the final minutes, with jumpers from Bryant and Borders and several free throws helping them secure the 75-68 win.
