RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University softball went 0-2 against a tough University of Lynchburg team. They fell 10-3 in game one and 12-1 in game two.
Adanya Day tallied a homerun in each game, opening the first week with 3 homeruns total.

KEY POINTS
Game One
- Lynchburg would take an early 3-0 lead after three innings as they capitalized on a few singles and a sacrifice fly.
- A homerun from Adanya Day in the bottom of the 4th would drive in Preston Hawkins to cut the lead to 3-2. Reanna Braswell would single to left field to bring in Logan Ayers for a 3-3 game.
- A few big hits in the 5th and 7th would put Lynchburg up 10-3 as the Hornets would only allow the Pacers one hit in the final three innings.
Game Two
- A double and a homerun for the Hornets would put them on top 3-0 at the top of the 3rd. A single and another double in the 4th would give them a dominant 6-0 lead.
- Adanya Day would pick up another homerun in the bottom of the 4th to cut the Hornets' lead to 6-1.
- A single from K. Hackett would increase the Hornets' lead to 7-1 at the top of the 5th before they would take advantage of a walk, an error, and a big triple for a 12-1 lead at the top of the 7th.

- Adanya Day tallied 2 homeruns on the day to pick up 3 RBIs.
- Anna Suggs notched 5 strikeouts in game two.
FOR THE FOES
- K. Hackett tallied 4 RBIs in game one and 1 in game two.
- Gracie Dooley went 4 for 4 in game one and collected a homerun in game two.
