RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University Volleyball team fell to Salem College Tuesday, November 7th in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. The tournament match-up was held in Raleigh NC, at the Hermann Athletic Center as the Pacers were the higher seed. The Pacers were ranked #4 and the Spirits were ranked #5 in regular season play. This was a very competitive and close game as the Pacers and Spirits battled back and forth playing 5 sets. Ultimately, the Pacers came up short losing to the Spirits 2-3.

The Pacers took the first set in a close game but finished strong defeating the Spirits 25-23.

In set two the Spirits battled back defeating the Pacers 25-16. However, in set three the Pacers took the win 25-17.

In the fourth set the Spirits rallied as they beat the Pacers 25-17. The spirits carried this energy into the fifth set winning the match-up with a 15-12 win over the Pacers during the fifth.

Anna Rymer tallied 17 kills, Aspen Bradley tallied 12 and Valeria Rosa Lopez tallied 11 kills for the Spirits.

Ashlyn Wood led the Spirits in 24 assists.

Macy Nelson collected 20 digs against the Pacers in tonight's match-up.
NEXT GAME
The Pacers concluded their season in the first round of the conference tournament Tuesday, November 7th. The Pacers had a good season as they finished conference play with a 11-7 record. The Pacers will greatly miss their seniors as they have contributed greatly to the success of the program this season. Moving forward the Pacers are looking forward to the 2024 season as they will begin preparing in the months to come.
