BRIDGEWATER, VA — William Peace played Bridgewater nearly even in the first half but could not find the mark in the second half. As a result, the Pacers fell 81-49 on the final day of the Carlyle Whitelow Invitational in Bridgewater, Va., on Sunday, Nov. 19.
William Peace held its own against Bridgewater in the first 20 minutes. Sparked by 11 points from Timothy Pettiford, the Pacers shot 46 percent to go into halftime behind by a slight 33-31 score.
The Pacers came out cold in the second half, shooting 23 percent from the floor. Bridgewater canned 61 percent of its shots to widen the margin. For the contest, William Peace shot 33 percent and Bridgewater shot 53 percent.
Pettiford tallied 13 points and Beau Bryant added nine for the Pacers, who tied Bridgewater with 13 second chance points.
