RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University Men's Basketball team hosted Randolph College Wednesday, November 15th in Raleigh, NC at the Hermann Athletic Center. The Pacers raced out to a 17 point lead in the first half, but ultimately fell short to the Wildcats by a score of 73 to 80..Â

THE BASICS
KEY POINTS

The Pacers started strong - building a 41-24 lead on the back of 8 3 pointers in the first 16 minutes.Â

The Wildcats clawed by into the game by halftime, as they finished the half on a 13-0 run, capitalized by a basket at the buzzer to cut the lead to four at intermission.

The run continued - as the Pacers went cold on the offensive end and could not get stops on the other end. The Wildcats played with tremendous effort and got multiple looks from offensive rebounds in the 2nd half.

The Pacers did a great job of getting to the free throw line in the 2nd half - as they attempted 21 free throws in the period, but were only able to convert 12 (57%).Â

Danny Bickey had 23 of his 28 points in the 2nd half to help the Wildcats clinch the road win.

A rally by the Pacers - led by  Shawn Jones, who had one of the best games of his young career, fell short after cutting it to 5 points in the last few minutes of the game.Â

The Pacers will be traveling to Bridgewater, VA Saturday, November 18th to face Eastern Mennonite University in the Whitelow Classic. Tip ball will take place at 4PM for the Pacers.Â
