RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University men's basketball defeated NC Wesleyan University 80-78 in the final seconds of the game to move to 3-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The Pacers would get out to an early 7-5 lead with a dunk from Timothy Pettiford. The game would go back and forth as a free throw would put the Pacers up 15-14. The Battling Bishops would go on a run to lead 26-19. 3-pointers from Michael Dulin and Malachi Borders would put the Pacers within one as they trailed 26-25, with a later jumper from Dulin keeping the Pacers within 4 as they trailed 32-28. A big push from NCWU would give them a 46-36 lead heading into halftime.
- NCWU would push hard at the start of the second to take a 60-46 lead over the Pacers. A few free throws from Michael Dulin would cut the lead to 60-48, while a jumper from Tyler Parton, a 3-pointer from Timothy Pettiford, and a layup from Dulin would chip away at the Battling Bishops' 66-55 lead. With 7 minutes remaining, NCWU would take a 74-60 lead over the Pacers. Two 3-pointers from Beau Bryant and a layup from Michael Dulin, along with a few good stops from the Pacers, would cut the lead to just 74-68. A layup from Shawn Jones and another shot from behind the arc from Beau Bryant would put the Pacers within 5 as the trailed 78-73 with 3 minutes remaining. A layup and a jumper from Bryant would bring the score to 78-77 with 53 seconds to play, and a good defensive rebound from Bryant with 28 seconds left would give the Pacers a final chance. Michael Dulin would hit a shot from behind the arc with 4 seconds remaining, and the Pacers would hold on to defeat NCWU 80-78.
