HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would dominate the early game, with
Jorge Aguilar finding the back of the net at 3:30, assisted by
Jorge Lemus, to put the Pacers up 1-0. Lemus would notch his own goal just ten minutes later as he would break away on a ball played in by
Rush Campbell to put the Pacers up 2-0. Loyd Shelton would make a few good saves on the Pacers to keep the game at 2-0 heading into halftime.
Aguilar and Lemus would each tally early second half goals, as
Julio Garcia and
Ramiro Vera each picked up an assist to put the Pacers up 4-0. Aguilar would complete his hat trick at 49:52, assisted by
TJ Hurd, to increase the lead to 5-0. At 53:33,
Josh Rutland would find
Nathan Cochran, who would put it away for a 6-0 lead. The Royals would get a few good chances and would get on the board with a goal from Graylan Gill to put the score at 6-1, but
Elysee Blague would crash the net minutes later on a ball from Jake Day to bring the score to 7-1. Blague would later find
Mamadou Diabi off of a corner, who would find the back of the net to finish the game 8-1.
