HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would get on the board early at 5:46 as
Danny Alvarez would find
Drew Frazier, who would put up a shot, tipped in by
Josh Rutland, to gain a 1-0 lead. Rutland and Frazier would combine again at 15:00 to put the Pacers ahead 2-0. Just thirty seconds later,
Jorge Aguilar would set up
Jorge Lemus in front, who would tuck it away for a 3-0 Pacer lead. The Pacers would continue to put on the pressure, totaling 7 shots in the first half, while
Tripp Kidd made a few solid saves to send the game into halftime with a score of 3-0.
The second half would be a back-and-forth matchup as both back lines and both goalkeepers made several good stops. Rutland would nearly score again at 71:48, but keeper Ali Jafaar would collect it to keep the game at 3-0. Neither team would get many chances near the end, and the Pacers would take a 3-0 win over the Falcons.
