Men's Lacrosse Concludes Season In USA South Conference Tournament

GREENSBORO, NC – William Peace University men's lacrosse fell in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament by a score of 14-10 to Greensboro College. The Pacers finish the year with a 7-8 overall record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Riely Murray would get the Pacers on the board 1-0 early in the 1st. The Pride would tie it 1-1 before a goal from Devin Noonan, assisted by Nick Falso, would put the Pacers up 2-1. The Pride would score three in a row to lead 4-2, while a goal from Drew Von Werne would cut the lead to 4-3.

In the second, the Pride would score early but a goal from Nick Falso would cut their lead to 5-4. Greensboro would add two in a row to lead 7-4. A goal from Brewer Warlick, assisted by William Murray, would bring the score to 7-5. A goal from Riely Murray would cut the Pride lead to 8-6, but they would take a 9-6 lead heading into the half.

Two consecutive goals from Greensboro would put them ahead 11-6 in the third. Brewer Warlick and Nick Falso would both find the back of the net to bring the score to 11-8 heading into the fourth. A quick goal from Tristan Carter would cut the Pride lead to 11-9, but they would add two in a row to lead 13-9. Devin Noonan would bring the Pacers back within 3 as they trailed 13-10, but a final Pride goal would send them over the Pacers 14-10.
