Pacers Fall To Meredith In Conference Opener

RALEIGH, NC – William Peace University women's lacrosse fell to reigning USA South Champion Meredith College by a score of 23-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Avenging Angels would dominate the early game, challenging the Pacer defense. Samantha Autry would put up 3 caused turnovers throughout the game, while goalkeeper Aryal Brandon would notch 12 saves against an aggressive Meredith team. Mary Langer would collect 4 ground balls for the Pacers, but Arriana May and Olivia Verlinden would combine for 5 goals each. The Avenging Angels would take a commanding 18-0 lead heading into halftime.

The Pacers would continue to fight in the second half as Meredith put up a total of 43 shots and 35 shots on goal. Brandon would continue to be strong in net and put up some strong saves. The Pacers would break through with 1:32 remaining as Madison Bradley scored on the man-up from the free position, finishing the game at 23-1.
