HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would open up the scoring at the top of the 2nd as a sacrifice fly from Jake Norris would bring in Jake Dacunto for a 1-0 lead. The Monarchs would respond in the bottom of the 4th inning, bringing in three runs to lead 3-1. At the top of the 5th, Dacunto would drive in Nick Tyler to cut the lead to 3-2, but the Monarchs would add two runs in the bottom of the 5th to lead 5-2. The Monarchs would continue to hold the Pacers in the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings, adding 4 more runs to lead 9-2. A single from Jake Dacunto at the top of the 9th would score Logan Barbour, but the Pacers would fall 9-3 to the Monarchs.
