STAUNTON, VA -- William Peace University women's basketball fell to the Fighting Squirrels of Mary Baldwin University by a score of 87-69.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The start of the first quarter would go back-and-forth, with a jumper from Arianna Hamilton tying it up 5-5. A run from MBU would put them ahead 12-5. A 3-pointer from Cierra Baker would cut the lead to 14-11, but a few late free throws would put the Fighting Squirrels up 20-13.
