HOW IT HAPPENED
- The start of the first half would be a back-and-forth contest, with a layup from Jalen Owens putting the Pacers up 8-6. A few free throws from Timothy Pettiford would put the Pacers up 12-11 as the teams battled, with a few 3-pointers from Malachi Borders and Beau Bryant bringing the score to 20-17. A shot from behind the arc from Tyler Parton would increase the Pacer lead to 25-19. The Pacers would stay strong, with a layup from Michael Dulin and a jumper from Timothy Pettiford sending the score into halftime at 36-31 in favor of the Pacers.
- The Eagles would battle back early in the second to tie it up 42-42 before taking a 47-44 lead. They would go on a run to lead 53-46 before a few free throws and a 3-pointer from Parton and a layup from Pettiford would close the gap to 55-53. A 3 from Borders would tie it 57-57. The Eagles would take a 69-64 lead, but Pettiford would drive in for the layup and draw the foul to tie it 72-72 late, sending the game into overtime.
- In overtime, the Eagles would get up quickly to take an 80-77 lead. A layup and free throw from Pettiford would put the Pacers within 2 as they trailed 82-80, but the Eagles would put up some strong play near the end to win 85-81.
