Pacers Fall In Rematch With Falcons

RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University women's basketball fell to Pfeiffer University 75-65. The Pacers battled hard throughout the entire game, but the Falcons would outlast them to take the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first quarter would be a back-and-forth matchup, though the Falcons would take an early 14-8 lead. A few free throws by Stephanie Chandler would tie it up 14-14, and two final layups would send the game into the second tied 16-16.
  • The Falcons would go on a big run early to lead 31-17 in the second quarter. A jumper from Shelby Wolfe and a layup from Pamela Mock would cut the Falcons' lead to 33-23, with a final free throw from Arianna Hamilton sending the game into halftime with a score of 33-24.
  • The Falcons would again go on an early run to open up a 46-32 lead in the third quarter. A jumper from Arianna Hamilton would keep the Pacers within 15 as they trailed 51-36. The Falcons would control the end of the quarter to head into the final quarter leading 61-37.
  • A few free throws by Kiera Williams and a layup from Stormie Brown would cut the Falcons' lead to 66-46. Alyssa Brake would add a 3-pointer as the Pacers battled back, trailing 66-50. Kiera Williams would add a few more free throws and a layup to put the score at 71-58 as the Pacers cut down the Falcons' lead, but the Falcons would keep the Pacers from catching up to take a 75-65 win.
