HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars would get out to an early 5-0 lead in the first half. A 3-pointer by Donolly Tyrell Jr. would bring the Pacers within one as they trailed 9-8, but Averett would put up a few good stops to lead 18-9. The Cougars would go on a run to lead 27-11 before a few 3-pointers from Cole Atwood and Rashod Rouse would put the Pacers back in the game as they trailed 35-20. The Cougars would take a 37-22 lead heading into halftime.
- A layup from Rashod Rouse would keep the Pacers within 14 as they trailed 43-29. The Pacers would battle back after a brief run by the Cougars, with a 3-pointer by Cole Atwood and a layup from Michael Dulin bringing the score to 53-38. Rashod Rouse and Beau Bryant would add a few baskets to bring the Pacers back within ten as they trailed 63-53, but the Cougars would hold them off to take a 68-58 win.
