RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University Athletics Department is excited to announce Tim Priskey as the new Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. Priskey comes to the Pacers after serving as the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach for five years at Thiel College. Prior to his time at Thiel, Priskey was the Head Coach of the Men's Lacrosse program at Bethany College.
Priskey is excited to begin his time at WPU, stating, "I would like to thank Athletic Director
Tom Curle, President Brian Ralph, Vice President Frank Rizzo, and the entire search committee for this opportunity. The growth that WPU has seen as an institution in recent years is undeniable. It is an institution committed to academics, athletics, diversity and inclusion, and the student-athlete experience as a whole. The commitment and support the athletic department has from the institution is very exciting to me. The support that each department shows for one another is exactly what I was looking for in an institution. I look forward to taking the foundation laid by the previous coaching staff and building it to be a competitive program."
In 2021, Priskey led Thiel to a 7-3 overall record, winning a semifinal game in the PAC tournament over Chatham University. Priskey graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2010, where he was a member of the Men's Lacrosse program.
Athletic Director Tom Curle stated, "I am truly excited to announce the hiring of Tim Priskey as our new head coach of women's lacrosse. Tim comes to us as a highly recommended coach with successful head coaching experience at his previous institution. Coach Priskey made it clear that his priority is to develop each student-athlete academically, socially and athletically. I look forward to working with Tim as he builds and sustains a successful women's lacrosse program at William Peace University."
