Raleigh, NC -- William Peace University Volleyball swept a double header against Mary Baldwin University. The Pacers would come out buzzing as they won in 3 sets in game one, before following up with another sweep in game two. The Pacers remain undefeated in conference play as they move to 6-1 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One - The first set would see the Pacers taking an early lead, scoring five straight points. The Fighting Squirrels would try very hard to stay in the game but a service error from Jada Keene would be all the Pacers needed to notch the first set with a score of 25-12. The second set would be no different as
Brittany Carpenter would get 4 straight points to begin the set. The Pacers would begin to extend their lead over Mary Baldwin as
Bergin Gillespie scored 3 of the final 4 points to take set two for the Pacers with a final score of 25-13. The final set of the first game would start off evenly matched as both teams traded blows. This would not be long as the Pacers would go onto an 8-point run to give them a 10-2 lead. Mary Baldwin would be unable to battle back as the Pacers took the first game with a final score of 25-10, with the 3 of the last 4 points coming from
Abby Benton.
Game Two - The first set of the second game would be evenly matched as neither side would be able to get a large lead. That would be until the Pacers went onto an 8-point lead to make the score 22-13.
Bergin Gillespie would finish off the first set scoring 2 of the last 3 points for the Pacers, making the final score 25-14. The Second set would start off evenly matched as well before the Pacers would go on a 6-point run, creating a 10-3 lead over Mary Baldwin. The Pacers would finish off the second set with a 13-4 run making the final score 25-9. The final set would not be pretty for Mary Baldwin as the Pacers would continue to step on the gas for the entirety of the third set.
Hannah Collier would get 8-straight points for the Pacers during a 9-point run to give the Pacers a 10-3 lead. Right after Mary Baldwin would stop the Pacer's run, the Pacers would go on another run, this time it would be 12 points, with 11 of them coming from
Logan Moore. A final kill by
Kelsey Bierbauer would seal the deal for the Pacers as they took the final set with a final score of 25-7.
