Men's Lacrosse Falls To Pfeiffer

Raleigh, NC -- William Peace University Men's Lacrosse fell to Pfeiffer University in a hard fought loss with a final score of 21-9. The first half would be controlled by the Falcons as they would score 15 goals to the Pacers' 3. The Pacers would continue to fight hard in the second half but the Falcon's first half would keep the Falcons ahead.

  • Location: Raleigh, NC
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Pfeiffer would get the first point of the game with a goal by Quinn Becraft to give the Falcons an early lead. A goal by Brewer Warlick would put the Pacers right back in the game, tying the score up 1-1. The Falcons would then go on a 5-point run before a goal from Nick Falso would bring that to an end, making the score 6-2. A last second goal from Quinn Becraft would solidify a lead for the Falcons going into the second quarter with a score of 8-3.
  • The first part of the second quarter would be evenly matched as neither side would be able to find the back of the net. A goal from Luke Cox would break the quarter's deadlock as the Falcons would then go onto a 7-point run making the score 15-3. The Pacers would go scoreless in the second quarter.
  • In the third quarter, Finn McGrady would bring the Pacers back into the game, letting the Falcons know that they are still fighting. 30 seconds later, Devin Noonan would grasp another goal for the Pacers as they built the team's confidence back up, making the score 15-5. With the Falcons a man-up, John Allen would score a goal to send the same message back to the Pacers making the score 16-5. A goal in the final seconds of the quarter from the Falcons' Treven King, would extend their lead just a little bit more making the score 18-6.
  • Two early goals by Treven King and Quinn Becraft in the start of the fourth quarter would extend the Falcon's lead 20-6. Brewer Warlick would continue to try and keep the Pacers in the game by scoring a goal to keep the Falcons on their heels. However, it would not be enough as the Falcons would still walk away with the win with a final score of 21-9.
