Pacers Fall To Washington And Lee

LEXINGTON, VA -- William Peace University men's basketball fell to the Washington and Lee Generals 101-73. The Pacers now move to 0-1 on the early season as the prepare for another exhibition game against D1 Appalachian State University.

THE BASICS
  • Final score: William Peace 73, Washington and Lee 101

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Generals would jump out to a big lead in the first half, out rebounding the Pacers to lead 24-9. A few jumpers from Rashod Rouse and Isaiah Everette-Lewis would bring the score to 30-18, with a few consecutive three-pointers from Garrett Phillips and Donolly Tyrell Jr. closing the gap to 30-27. The Generals would surge ahead late in the first half to lead 41-30, with a few free throws from Donolly Tyrell Jr. keeping WPU in the game as they headed into halftime trailing 52-37.
  • A shot from behind the arc from Beau Bryant would bring the score to 59-42 early in the second half, but the Generals would continue to control to go ahead 67-45. 3-pointers from Beau Bryant and Michael Dulin would keep the Pacers in the game as they trailed 79-56. A big run by the Generals would put them ahead 96-62, with a fastbreak from Rashod Rouse putting the game back within 30 as the Pacers trailed 98-70. The Generals would take advantage of some final shots from the foul line to close the game 101-73.
PACER TOP PERFORMERS FOR THE FOES
  • Robert DiSibio led the Generals with 23 points as he went 7-8 from the field and 3-3 from behind the arc.
  • Richie Manigault put up 8 rebounds and 18 points.

  • The Pacers went 36.8% from the field and 31.4% from behind the arc.
