Pacers Shutout Battling Bishops For Conference Win

RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University women's soccer won their second conference game in a row as they defeated NCWC by a score of 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first half, the Pacers would control the game early, dominating the beginning possession. However, NCWC would get the first opportunity as a shot by Kailey Munro would be scooped up by Abigail Mosteller at 26:38. Mosteller would again keep the Battling Bishops off the scoresheet at 40:14 as the Pacers were unable to gain any traction, and the game would head into halftime tied 0-0.

In the second half, Lillian Bates would find Kyra Delaney, who would find the back of the net just a few minutes in to put the Pacers up 1-0. The Pacers would get another opportunity at 55:40, as Brooke Bonner, Dayna Kenworthy, and Raine Greene would put up a combined 4 shots in less than thirty seconds; however Alicia Jacops would keep the Pacers from increasing their lead. The Pacers would control the game for the majority of the half, and goalkeeper Abigail Mosteller would stay strong near the end of the game when the Battling Bishops began to press as the Pacers would secure the game 1-0.
