Second Half Sends Pride Over Pacers

CARY, NC -- William Peace University women's soccer fell to Greensboro College 3-0 after a strong second half from the Pride. The Pacers also celebrated seniors Makenzie Jones, Amanda Lane, D'Aysha Jones, and Jordan Rogers for Senior Night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would challenge goalkeeper Lindsay Fox early in the first half, with shots from Lillian Bates and Jerri Hanson just 6 minutes in. Fox would make a few good saves to keep the Pacers off the board. Makenzie Jones would make a good stop at 12:07 on Skylar Mathis to keep the game scoreless. Raine Greene would have a good opportunity at 17:24, but the Pride would keep her at bay. Kyra Delaney would have the final chance of the first half at 36:45, but the game would head into halftime scoreless as Fox would stop her chance.

In the second half, Logan Schnabl would break the stalemate at 53:55 to put the Pride up 1-0. The Pride would begin to control possession, and would be awarded a penalty kick opportunity at 66:46, which Taylor Harrison would put away to increase their lead to 2-0. The Pacers would not be able to gain any traction, and the Pride would add another goal at 80:53 to secure a 3-0 win over the Pacers.
