Pacers Drop Game To SVU

Raleigh, NC - The William Peace University women's lacrosse team fell to Southern Virginia University on March 12th, 2020 by a score of (21-7).

THE BASICS
  • Final score: William Peace 7, SVU 21
  • Records: William Peace (2-2), SVU(5-0)
  • Location: Holly Springs, NC
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Knights would get a quick jump on the Pacers as they scored early to lead (1-0), but WPU's Allison Schaper would respond to tie the game (1-1). The Knights would continue to be dominant as they led (5-1) before Schaper would once again find the back of the net (5-2). The Knights continued to press the Pacer defense and would head into halftime trailing (15-3).
  • In the second half, both teams would be held off the score sheet before the Knights were able to find a way to add two more goals to their tally (17-3). Anne Evans and Allison Schaper would give the Pacers some life as they both found the back of the net (17-5). Schaper would score again just moments later from the free position to cut the SVU lead to (17-6). Schaper would score yet again from the free position as the Pacers trailed (17-7). The Knights however, would continue to have the upper hand as they defeated the Pacers by a score of (21-7)
