  • The second half proved to be just as exciting as the first. The Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan would take the lead back and extend it with three straight unanswered offensive runs to go on a (6-0) scoring run to put the Bishops up (41-38). Two back-to-back jumpers from Jaymesha Sanders would reclaim the lead (42-41). Once again, the Bishops would respond and take the lead again with back-to-back shots from the field to put the score at (48-44). A beautiful pass from Chrystal Jerome to Sydney Austin to hit the jumper and put the Pacers within 1 (50-49). Chrystal Jerome would once again feed the ball, but this time to Jaymesha Sanders for a 3-pointer to put the Pacers up by 2 (54-52). The Bishops tied the game with a pair of free throws to end the third quarter (54-54).
  • In the fourth and final quarter, Sydney Austin fed the ball to Chrystal Jerome to hit the shot from behind the arc to put the Pacers up (59-56). Jaymesha leading the Pacer offense drove to the basket for a layup to maintain the Pacer lead (61-58). The Bishops hit (3-4) foul shots to tie the game (61-61). Khadijah Daniels responded by driving to the basket back-to-back for two good layups to put the Pacers up by 4 (69-65) with less than 2 minutes left in the game. With 50.3 seconds left in the game Mikayla Ray drove to the basket and drew the foul to then make both free throws to put the Pacers up by 5 (71-66). The Pacers would have a big defensive stop with 43.4 seconds left in the game to regain possession. Lauryn Cross was sent to the foul line and went (2-2) to further extend the Pacer lead (73-66).
