Pacers Continue Winning Streak With Win Over Pfeiffer


THE BASICS:
  • Final score: William Peace University 75, Pfeiffer University 54

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Pacers started the first quarter off strong by going on a (6-0) scoring run. The Falcons of Pfeiffer University responded by going on their on (5-0) scoring run to cut the lead to 1 (6-5). The Pacers and Falcons would go back-and-forth for the remainder of the first quarter. A layup by Khadijah Daniels would end the first quarter as the Pacers led (16-13)
  • Jaymesha Sanders would start the scoring off for the Pacers to bring the score to (18-13). The Pacers finished off the second quarter by going on a scoring run, with Cierra Baker's shot from behind the arc giving WPU a (35-25) advantage. 
  • In the third quarter, the Pacers came alive and went on a tremendous scoring run (17-4) to extend their lead to 23. Mikayla Ray began the scoring with two shots from the foul line. Cierra Baker would add another three for a (44-27) lead. In the last couple of minutes of the quarter, the Falcons would chargeback to cut the Pacer lead to 17 (56-39), but the Pacers held them off to head into the fourth quarter (56-39).
  • In the fourth and final quarter, the Pacers continued to dominate. Jaymesha Sanders contributed offensively by putting up 7 points in the fourth quarter alone. The Pacers secured the win with the score (75-54) for their fifth straight win.

  • Kortni Pinion posted 13 rebounds and 7 points.
  • A'Mya McClain lead the Falcons with 16 points.
