  • The Scots regained the lead in the bottom of the sixth with a five run inning. Two of the run would be on a pair of balks. Logan Hayes extended the Scots lead with a 2 RBI single to left field.

  • Maryville tacked on two more runs in the seventh with Peyton Sawyer RBI double and a sacrifice fly from Kolton Hicks to extend the Scots lead to 10-3.

  • The Pacers would leave a handful of runners on base as the Scots were able to hold the Pacers and win game 1 by a score of 10-3.

Game 2:

  • Austin Skipper would get the start on the mound for the Pacers in Game 2. Skipper coming off a complete game shutout of Averett last weekend would again deliver for the Pacers.

  • Skipper held the Scots at bay as he threw eight scoreless innings.

  • Nick Montrose gave the Pacers the early lead with an RBI single to left field which drove home Gavin Wheeler.

  • Michael Sterne doubled the Pacers lead in the top of the third with an RBI single through the left side which again scored Gavin Wheeler.

  • A five run fourth inning gave the Pacers a 7-0 lead as Gavin Wheeler, Nathan Holt and Tyler Galloway all delivered with singles in the inning. Parker Ferstrum and Easton Payton both scored on a pair of wild pitches.

  • Austin Skipper continued to cruise on the mound as he held the Scots to six hits over his eight innings of work.

  • Robby Casey entered in relief of Skipper in the bottom of the ninth. The Scot would score one run as Eric Hart scored from third after Joey Tomlinson grounded into a double play. Casey however closed the door on the Scots as he struck out Wesley Peerson swinging to give the Pacers a 8-1 win.
