HOW IT HAPPENED:

All of the scoring would come in the second inning as Maryville scored all three of their runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Joey Tomlinson reached on a fielder's choice that would be enough to bring home Eric Hart. The Scots would add two more runs as Kolton Hicks also reached on a fielder's choice which scored Peyton Sawyer. Joey Tomlinson advanced to third and would score on an error by the Pacers' first basemen to extend the Scots' lead.

The Pacers loaded the bases in the top of fifth. After Tyler Galloway reached on a single up the middle, Parker Fernstrum and Easton Payton would draw back to back walks. Maryville Pitcher Jordan Davis answered the call and would  get out of the bases loaded jam as he struck out Jonathan Rhew to end the inning.

Derek Jackson kept the Pacers close as he held the Scots to zero runs for rest of the game as he pitched six scoreless innings while only allowing two earned runs on six hits. Jackson finished the game with seven strikeouts while walking one.

WPU would not be able to get anything going at the plate in the final innings of play and would fall to the Scots by a score of 0-3.
