Pacers Ease Past Hawks in Conference Opener

The Basics:

How it Happened:
  • The Pacers took off on an early lead in the first two minutes of action as Allison Schaper scored the first goal of the game, quickly followed by Dana Florian on a free position goal.
  • The Hawks of Huntingdon College scored shortly after the Pacers in the fifth minute of play, but WPU would win the next draw control and would race down field for Kirsten Dunham to score her first goal of the game.
  • Out of a Huntingdon timeout, Anne Evans would find Rylie Toomey for the goal up the middle. The Pacers would lead 4-1 with 23:11 remaining in the game.
  • Alyssa Martinez would score her first of the game with a goal in the ninth minute of play.
  • The Pacers would draw the Huntingdon goalie out of the net as Dana Florian would cause a turnover, recovered by Rylie Toomey. Toomey would score on the open opportunity giving the Pacers a 6-1 advantage.
