The Basics:

• Final Score: William Peace 14, Averett 15

How it Happened:

• The Cougars would score three runs in the top of the first to take the early lead. Nate Tuck would drive in two of those runs with an RBI single.

• The two teams would combine for a total of 13 runs in the fourth inning. Averett would have four of those runs, two coming from a Zack DeCarlo home run. William Peace had nine of those runs, led by Tyler Tilson who totaled three RBI's in the fourth inning and Easton Payton who would end the inning with two RBI's to put the Pacers ahead 9-7.

• Tanner Bradshaw hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fifth inning  and put Cougars within one of the Pacers 8-9.

• In the top of the sixth inning Martin Nicolay singled through the  right side. After Nick Winston flied out to center Ryan Traylor singled through right side to advance Nicolay to third. Chase McKinney would  then hit an RBI single to left field tying the game 9-9.

• In the bottom of the sixth inning Gavin Wheeler walked followed by Nathan Holt reaching on an error to advance Wheeler to second. Tilson was then hit by a pitch to load the bases. Mikey Anerton would then hit a sacrifice fly to center field and to put the Pacers back on top 10-9.

• The Cougars would come out hot in the top of the seventh and would score five runs, three of which came from a three RBI double from Andrew Lancaster to put the Cougars up 14-10.

• In the bottom of the eighth inning Easton Payton and Gavin Wheeler would each draw walks. Nathan Holt hit an RBI single followed by a RBI double from Tyler Tilson to bring the Pacers within two runs at 12-14. Nathan Holt would score on a balk and Mikey Anerton would hit another sacrifice fly to left field to bring in Tilson and tie the game back up at 14-14.

• Neither team would score in the ninth inning and the game would go into extra innings.

• The Cougars would take the lead in the top half of the tenth inning on a sacrifice fly from Nick Winston would score Tyler Butler. Tyler Butler would then hold the Pacers in the bottom of the tenth to give the Cougars a 15-14 win.

• Nathan Holt lead the Pacers with 3 runs, 3 hits, 2 RBI and 1 stolen base.

• Tyler Tilson had 2 runs, 2 hits, and 4 RBI.

• Mikey Anerton had 1 run, 2 hits and 3 RBI.

• Nick Winston had 3 runs, 3 hits, 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.

• Ryan Traylor had 3 runs, 3 hits and 2 RBI.
