Women's Lacrosse Wins First Game of Inaugural Season

The Basics:

How it Happened:
  • Dana Florian took off with the first possession of the inaugural game to score the first goal for the Pacer women's lacrosse program within the first 10 seconds of play.
  • Rylie Toomey would score a hat trick within the first eight minutes of play, bringing the score to 4-1.
  • The Panthers would answer back with a goal from Kinna Laymon with 17 minutes remaining.
  • Kristen Dunham would score, assisted by Anne Evans, in the 17th minute to extend the Pacer lead to 5-2.
  • Rylie Toomey would score her fourth goal of the game with 15:38 remaining in the first half.
  • Florian would come down field with back-to-back goals just 20 seconds after Toomey.
  • The Pacers would lead 8-2 over 17 minutes of action.
  • Kinna Laymon would score two quick goals with 7 minutes remaining in the first and the Pacers would maintain the 8-4 lead heading into halftime.

  • Kirsten Dunham would give the Pacer offense life with a score at the 15 minute mark to push the Pacers ahead 11-7.
  • The Panthers would capitalize shortly after Ā on a man-up opportunity to score their eighth goal of the game.
  • Alyssa Martinez and Allison Schaper would score the final two goals of the game as the Pacers continued to work the clock in the late minutes of action.
