Pacers Fall in Chess Match Vs. Wildcats

The Basics:
  • Final Score: William Peace 13 Randolph 14

How it Happened:
  • The Wildcats would jump on the scoreboard early in the first quarter with a goal from Brett Pausic just two minutes in. Anthony Florian would answer right back with a goal of his own 45 seconds later.
  • Brewer Warlick and Tristan Carter would follow suit and score back-to-back goals just 30 seconds apart, with 9:28 remaining in the first quarter. The Pacers would lead 3-1.
  • Tre Galligan would score his first goal of the game in a man-up situation with six minutes remaining in the first quarter.
  • The Wildcats would respond in the second quarter with two back-to-back goals in the fourth minute of play in the second period.
  • The Pacers would come charging down the field as Da'Von Knight found Dalton Albright for the goal with 7:20 remaining before halftime.
  • The Wildcats took the lead with 2:45 remaining in the second quarter after a goal from Matthew Piascik. The Wildcats held a 7-6 lead.
  • The Pacers would head into the half tied 8-8 after Nick Falso would force a ground ball and send it down field to Brewer Warlick for the tying goal.

  • The Pacers would post another equally matched quarter as both teams scored three goals each.
  • Florian would get things going early in the fourth quarter with a goal, just 45 seconds into action.
  • The Wildcats had an answer every time, however, as Jordan Stanley found the back of the net twice in the fourth quarter for Randolph.
  • Tre Galligan would score his fourth goal mid-way through the fourth quarter, bringing the score to 12 all.
  • Warlick would earn a hat trick, scoring his third goal in the fifth minute of the fourth quarter tying the game at 13-13.
  • Brett Pausic would seal the deal with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to steal the victory for the Wildcats.
