How it Happened

• In the first half, both teams would get off to a sluggish start as neither team could seem to find a rhythm. With under ten minutes remaining in the first half the Pacers would hit back-to-back 3-pointers from Donelly Tyrell Jr. and Ti'Quan Whitmore. This would cut the Captain's lead to seven (20-13).
• After a jumper from Mikal Gaylord brought the Pacers within four (20-16), the Captains would end the half on a 15-8 run that would see them jump out to (37-24) lead heading into halftime.
• John Burwell would start things off for WPU in the second half from the free throw line as the Pacers trailed (37-25). CNU would control the game for a bit to lead (50-32) before a shot from behind the arch by Trey Bryant brought WPU back into the game.
• Trey Bryant would add a few points from the foul line with just under ten minutes left in the game as CNU led (57-42). A late 3-pointer by Camden Ferguson would bring the score to (77-54) as the Captains continued to lead. The Pacers were unable to make-up the deficit and would fall (83-60).

• Ti'Quan Whitmore had 13 points as he shot 4 for 6 from the field and 4 for 5 from the foul line.
• Trey Bryant led the Pacers with 15 points as he went 8-12 from the free throw line.

For The Foes

• Dalon McHugh recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
• Ian Anderson led the Captains with 20 points as he was 8 of 16 from the field.

Stats of the Game

• The Captains out-rebounded the Pacers 56-40 and shot 42.9% from the field.
• The Pacers were 62.2% from the free throw line.

What's Next?
The William Peace University men's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, December 14 in Raleigh, NC. The Pacers will open their USA South schedule as they square off with the Monarchs of Methodist University. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 PM in the Hermann Athletic Center.
