Pacers Start The Season With A Win Against Randolph-Macon


THE BASICS
  • Final score: William Peace 73, Randolph-Macon College 63

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first quarter would see the Pacers led by Mikayla Ray with 6 first quarter points take a (18-14) lead. 
  • In the second quarter Randolph-Macon could not find a way past the Pacers defense as they would only score 10 second quarter points. While the Pacers would score 23 led by Lauryn Cross who would hit two from behind the arch. Cross would finish with 10 points in the quarter to go along with 2 assists  (41-24)
  • Randolph-Macon would come out in the second half of action and hold the Pacers to 14 points in the third but  the Pacers would hold onto to a (55-47) lead heading into the fourth quarter.
  • The fourth quarter would see the Pacers continue to lead as they showed no signs of letting off of the gas pedal. Lauryn Cross would add 6 of her final 28 points in the fourth as the final score at the buzzer would read (73-63) in favor of the Pacers.
