Men's Basketball Drops Game Against Randolph


The Basics

How it Happened
  • Trey Bryant started the game off strong for the Pacers with a layup and an assist to Donelly Tyrell Jr. Trey Bryant continued to lead the Pacers with a shot from behind the arch to tie the game at (9-9). Randolph went on a (13-4) run later in the first half to put the Wildcats up (30-20).
  • The Pacers would respond late in the first half with their own run (13-6) to put the Pacers within three (36-33). A pair of 3-pointers by freshman DeShawn Mason and senior Camden Ferguson started the momentum shift for the Pacers. The Pacers lost their push and found themselves down by 10 (43-33) with 1:02 left in the first half. Camden Ferguson responded with a shot from behind the arch to cut the lead to seven to end the first half (43-36).
  • The Pacers started the second half off strong, going on an (8-3) run to bring the Pacers within four (48-44).The Pacers and Wildcats would go back-and-forth until the Wildcat offense hit their stride. Later on in the half, Brian Smith's shot from behind the arch as well as a pair of free throws extended the Wildcat lead.
  • Freshman Beau Bryant would draw two fouls in under a minute to send him to the line. He would make all three to put the Pacers back within four (61-57). With 3:00 left in the game, the Pacers found themselves down by ten, and John Burwell hit a shot from behind the arch to bring the Pacers within seven (78-71). The Wildcats would hold off the Pacers for the rest of the game, and the Pacers would fall to the Randolph College Wildcats on the road (85-76).

  • Trey Bryant led the Pacers with 14 points as he also added 5 rebounds.
  • Beau Bryant had 3 assists, put up 11 points, and tallied 6 rebounds.
