How it Happened:

Mikayla Ray got the offense rolling tonight right after being celebrated for her 1,000 career points as a Pacer.

William Peace went on a eleven to nothing run early in the first quarter and displayed impressive boxing out for rebounds.

Shaniya Taylor had a hot shooting hand towards the end of the first quarter with a big three pointer and a layup.

The Pacers largest lead in the first half was 21 points but hustle plays from Annalee Bollinger and JaTasha Hollingers kept the Tornados within reach.

At the half, the score was 34-24Â and the Tornados looked to keep the momentum rolling and catch the red hot Pacer offense.

The Tornados came out of the locker room on fire when Ty'She Washington drained a long three pointer followed by Destiny WIlliams layup in traffic. This would cut the lead to only three points.

Victoria Green put up a three pointer with just over three minutes to go in the third quarter which gave Brevard the first lead of the game. Soon after Khadijah Daniels free throws would put the Pacers back on top by one.

Brevard would head into the final quarter of play with a two point lead 46-44Â Â after Ty'She Washington's layup with two seconds left in the third.

Brevard's largest lead came in the fourth quarter (7 points) but Khadijah Daniels basket followed by an and one opportunity on the following possession put the Pacers within one score.

A layup in traffic by Mikayla Ray on a fast break play put the Pacers up by two points with just over three minutes left in the game.

Destiny Williams made the shot of the game with seconds winding down to tie the ball game at 62.

Mikayla Ray caps off her ceremonial night with a layup to seal the deal tonight in Raleigh. Final score from the Hermann Athletic Center 64-62.
Pacer Top Performers:

Mikayla Ray finished with another double-double. She tallied 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Shaniya Taylor did not miss a shot tonight and tallied 11 points six of them coming from behind the arch.

Khadijah Daniels led the Pacers in scoring with 19 points.
For the Foes:

Ty'She Washington led the Tornados with 17 points and played outstanding making key shots in the fourth quarter.

Annalee Bollinger made two big three pointers in the first half and finished with 9 points.

Destiny Williams tallied 11 points and five rebounds.
Stats of the Game:

The Pacers shot 41.8% from the field and 50% from behind the arch.

The Pacers would end with 30 points in the paint.

Both teams struggled with turnovers throughout the game and both ended the night with double digit turnovers.
