Misenheimer, NC-- The William Peace University Baseball lost theie first game of their weekend series against Pfeiffer University.The Pacers drop to (11-12) while Pfeiffer will jump to a record of (15-7)
Pitching & offensive struggles plague the Pacers:
The Pacers early pitching & defensive struggles were too much to overcome. Cameron High started the game on the mound for the Pacers racking up four strikeouts in only two innings. His strong pitching would come to an end as Pfeiffer scored five runs in the third, prompting the games first pitching change. Derek Jackson took over for High halfway through the third inning looking to get the Pacers out of a bases loaded jam. Jackson allowed two RBI's before getting the Pacers out of the third inning with the deficit now at six. In his two inning showing Jackson allowed three hits while walking two. Noah Carter replaced Jackson on the mound. Ben Brann and Isaiah Ortega would also make appearances on the mound for the Pacers.In the bottom of the eighth Oretega would have a one two three inning with a strikeout and two pops ups. Although the Pacers managed to get on the board early in the game with a ground to first from Trey Hogan driving in Tyler Tilson. The Pacers could not convert many of their hits into runs, leaving five men on base over the course of six innings. Pfeiffer would come out on top 1-14.

The William Peace University baseball team is back in action Sunday, March 25th against Pfeiffer in what now is a double-header. The Pacers now have a record of (11-12) and Pfeiffer has a record of (15-7).
