HOW IT HAPPENED

After two free throws going up and in from Mikayla Ray, N.C. Wesleyan would go on a 6-0 run to take a 6-2 lead early on in the first quarter.

Shania Springer scored the first three-pointer in the half, Eva Holloway would follow with two jump shots to put the Pacers ahead, 11-8 with 1:23 left in the first quarter.

William Peace started out the second quarter down by 2, but they found their footing quickly led by Eva Holloway who would score 6 of her 14 points in the second quarter.

The Pacers  would go into the half ahead by 5 points, 30-25.

The Pacers would burst out of the gate in the third quarter, led by Mariah Ballen and Shania Springer.

The Pacers would extend their lead to double-digits over N.C. Wesleyan thanks to a 12-1 run in the third quarter.

N.C. Wesleyan was down 50-35 going into the final quarter. The Bishops would control the fourth quarter and come within four of the Pacers late in the game thanks to a 14-4 run down the stretch.

Thanks to timely free throws from Manazia Merriett and Mikayla Ray late in the game, the Pacers would hold on for a 69-65 win.
