Raleigh,NC-- The William Peace University Men's soccer team tied (2-2) in double overtime against Huntingdon College.
The Pacers would start off on the right foot as they would take five shots in the first ten minutes of the game. The Pacers would get their first clear chance of the contest midway through the first half. Jose Garcia after winning the ball at midfield would make run into the offensive third and set Ivan Ponce up for the shot which would be saved and come back out to Garcia who would hit the rebound off the crossbar. Garcia would make up for his miss five minutes later and give the Pacers a (1-0) lead as he would tuck away a strong header off of a corner kick from Jorge Aguilar. William Peace Would continue to push forward throughout the remainder of the first half. The Pacers would eventually double their lead as Alfredo Martinez found Daniel Garcia inside the box to make it (2-0) with six minutes left in the first half.The Hawks would answer back four minutes later as Matt Rosendale found the back of the net from 20 yards out off of a poor defensive clearance from the Pacers.The Pacers would go into halftime up (2-1).
The Second half would see the Hawks outshoot the Pacers 10-8 as both teams struggled to find any success going forward. With the Pacers hanging on to a (2-1) and under two minutes remaining the Hawks would equalize off of another mistake from the Pacers. This time is would come from Kelan LeBlanc as he would get in behind the center backs and make it (2-2). Jorge Aguilar would create one last chance for the Pacers with 30 seconds left as Aguilar would hit the post on a freekick right outside the 18 yard box.
The Overtime period saw the Pacers go on the offensive as they generated seven shots to Huntingdon's two. The two teams would not be able to create any clear chances in front of the net in the two overtime periods and the game would end in a (2-2) draw.

The Pacers now 7-1-4 will have a quick turnaround as they host Berea College tomorrow afternoon at 1:00PM. Berea comes into the contest (2-9) overall and (0-6) in USA South conference play. This game will be played at Athens Drive High School.
