NORFOLK, VA --  The William Peace University Softball team, coming off a weekend of softball where the Pacers went (2-2) which included a thrilling doubleheader split with Averett university on Sunday and a another hard fought split on Saturday with Randolph College, look to pick up two big road wins against Virginia Wesleyan.

The Pacers will look to keep their bats hot coming off a weekend that saw the offense get going with clutch hits from  Lindsey Wiggins , Heather McLean, Jordan Mangum and which also saw Sophomore Kelsey Durham continue her run of impressive pitching performances. Senior Lindsey Wiggins continued her sensational season, adding seven RBIs over the weekend and now has a team-leading twenty-one RBIs on the season, which also ties her for second in RBIs in the USA South.

The Pacers will face the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins ranked 11th in the Nation. The Marlins have been on a tear as of lately, coming into the match-up with an undefeated record of (14-0). The Marlins participated this past weekend in the Beach Blast Tournament in Virginia Beach, where they went (4-0). This matchup promises to be a slugfest as both teams have been tearing it up on the offensive side of the ball. First pitch will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by the second game at 3:00 p.m.
