Box Score 2 LYNCHBURG, VA -- The Pacers went 1-1 for the day against Randolph College. Game one against the Wildcats was summed up in the first two innings, where Randolph scored four runs each inning. "Game one was one of those days where everything we hit hard, ran into their gloves and they did a great job of hitting the ball consistently through their line-up," described Head Coach, Charlie Dobbins. "Some days you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield--we were the bug the first game."
The Pacers found their spark in game two, lead on the mound by Senior, Lindsey Wiggins. This was her first complete game win. The Pacers stayed on top of the bats and held off the Wildcats in a tight contest finishing 7-6.
"Game two was a great battle. Big props to Lindsey Wiggins and also shout out to Amanda Ludlum who had two big hits and Heather McLean with her league-leading sixth homerun to dead center," said Coach Charlie Dobbins.
