DANVILLE, Va. -- The William Peace University women's basketball team fell to Averett University, 78-64, on Sunday. The Pacers drop to 16-6 on the year and 8-4 in the USA South.
William Peace fell behind in the first quarter and never took the lead from the Cougars again. The Cougars outscored the Pacers in each quarter to slowly increase their lead over the Pacers as the game went on.
Nadine Ealey led the team with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Tyler Mercer scored 14 points while
Cassidy Clark added 12.

The Pacers now find themselves one game behind Greensboro for the No. 2 seed in the East and the opportunity of hosting the first round of the USA South tournament.
