CARY, N.C. -- The William Peace baseball team split Sunday's double-header with Brevard College to take the series 2-1.
GAME 1
Cameron High was able to keep the Brevard bats from doing too much damage in the first 4 innings, but a 2 RBI single in the 5
th put Brevard up 3-0. High finished his outing with 5 IP scattering 9 hits, striking out three while only giving up 3 runs.

The Pacer offense was quietly led by
Sean Finneran, who was 1-2 with a walk,
Mikey Anerton and
Alec Allred who combined to go 3-5 and Allred added a double to his credit.

Luke Drancsak and
Kyle Vincent came on in relief of High combining for 2 innings, giving up 1 run on 0 hits.

Game 2
The William Peace offense took the 30 minute break between games to make necessary adjustments to get the win. Peace tallied up 11 runs on 11 hits. The Pacer bats were sparked by
Sean Finneran (3-3, 2B, 3B, 3RBI, 3R),
Mikey Anerton (1-4, 3RBI),
Jonathan Rhew (2-4, 2B, 2RBI, 1R) and
Nathan Holt (2-4,2B,2R).
Alex Scott,
Tyler Tilson,
Cullen Cicotte, and
Alec Allred combined for 3 hits, 3RBI, and 3 runs scored.

Ben Brann picked up his first win as a Pacer, striking out 6 and only giving up 2 runs in 5 1/3 innings.
Braxton Lamm sealed the deal getting the final 5 outs, striking out 2 and clinching the series for William Peace.

The Pacers move to 5-5 and will play 5
th game in a row against a Division II team on Wednesday against Saint Augustine's University. First pitch is set for 3:00pm at the USA National Training Complex.
