CARY, NC – The William Peace University women's soccer team was back in action Saturday afternoon, where the Pacers dropped their USA South conference opener to Meredith College, 2-0.
The Pacers (1-4-1, 0-1 USAS) hung tight for most of the game after falling behind 1-0 on a goal from Meredith McCarty less than five minutes in. The Avenging Angels (2-2, 1-0 USAS) struck again though in in the 67th minute, as Ellice Johnson found Hannah Elvington for the score.
The WPU women's soccer team is back at WakeMed Soccer Park tomorrow for a 1:00 p.m. match against Averett University.
